Help on removing paint form a metal door?
My front door was painted before we bought our house, the black paint had began to peel so I have slowly be peeling in off wanting to repaint it. My girlfriend told me to put Easy Off oven cleaner on it to remove the paint, well that isn't working. Without spending allot of money I need some good idea's to remove the paint form the metal door. Paint thinner didn't work either. And I don't want to replace because its a great door.

you have two choices, one sand it off, two buy some paint stripper from the hardware or paint store. google;DIY paint stripper; to learn more. have fun! Opps i for got ! using a heat gun would be easier and less messy. they heat the paint to make it soft and then you just scrape it off with a puuty knife. google "heat gun" to see one. You can get a cheap one for 20 bucks. or if you have a propane torch that will work too. have fun! --- Amanda; no your hair drier wont work. It doesn`t get hot enough.
