you can earn a college degree with the G.I bill. the air force focuses more on academics than any other branch. I am currently in the D.E.P. program for the air force. you can join by contacting your local recruiter. Go to www.airforce.com to find the nearest one. YOu are much better off with the air force. I tried college and ran out of money. Now with the af i will go to boot camp this december and the benefits are unbelievable! Of course, I am married, and they are going to pay for my housing while im at basic, but for those who without a dependent, they will pay for housing, food, schooling...you are really saving a fortune! with the housing allowance you can go out and but a house, pay it off with your housing allowance, sell it and really make a profithat'sats what my cousin did. so really if you play your cards right and save a little you can be set for life! also once you do your 20 yrs you can retire and they will take care of you for the rest of your life! sounds too good to be true? not really, if you don't mind serving your country for that long and being away from you family a little longer than you like, but i find it well worth it! good luck on your decision! hope this helps!

Joining the Air Force is a great career move and it is easy to do. You have to talk to a recruiter about joining.
In the Air Force every enlisted member is encouraged to go to college. The Air Force is the only one with a program like this. They have the Community College of the Air Force and every one should have their AA degree by the time their first 4 years is up. This will make it much easier for you to get your 4 year degree on your second tour. Take advantage of all the training the Air Force has to offer and you will do well.
To answer your question about a tech school, why pay for college when the Air Force will pay your way?

Yes you can get a degree in the Air Force. Even better, there are no limits as to how many degrees you can get. You have to contact a recruiter and then they pre screen you to make sure you are qualified, mentally, physically, and morally. you have to pass the EST, it is the pretest to the asvab, unless you have taken it in high school, your test score is valid for 2 years. You have to be a U.S. citizen or a resident alien. Have a high school diploma or a senior in high school on track to graduate. You have to be minimum of age 17 with parental consent. You then have to pass the physical portion to find out if you are qualified to withstand the military training. You also have to go through a credit check, only for the Air Force, not any other branch. You also have to pass a background check call the SF 86. From then, they swear you in and you should have a contract of what job you qualify for, when you ship out. Good luck and hopefully this helps.

it is your choice on joining or college. but yes you can get a college degree in the air force.even in any of the branches. only problem is it may take longer than going to regular college, because you can only take classes when not working, and they are online classes.
depending on your job you may have more time or less time to do school work, but you can get a degree while in the military.
you paid, you get work, you get to serve, and you can take college courses for free.
only problem is , you can deploy, and you only get your off time to do class work.
so if you dont mind taking maybe 6+ years to get your degree, and there is a job the air force has that you like, then join.
or you can just take 4 years, get your school work done with and then join, maybe even as an officer.
