Why do people keep posting questions like this?

I just ignore those questions. If people would just ignore them without answering, eventually the askers would get tired and perhaps move on to more meaningful things. But I suppose they feel left out, they feel like they NEED to ask something to "belong", and that's the best they can think of....

Well, I'm sure quite a number of Y!Answers users are actually children.

Edit: I suppose it's kind of like how people in general will ask the same questions despite someone else already asking something quite similar. Or it's some level of interaction that people want but for whatever reason don't leave their computers for. It could be that many people like to treat this like a chat room. Someone mentioned that this site is purely for entertainment only, and I must disagree. There are some very valid questions out there, but sometimes it gets difficult shuffling through all the pointless ones.

I am 13 and maybe am considered a "child", but if you read my posts and questions I do not do immature questions and answers. I can see the what your pet's name question because of future names for their pet. The whats your favorite I can kind of see, because they might want a new pet. Well, the 2 top ones are obviously opinion, so I guess I don't support those questions. Also, have you seen the questions where people ( this is in the fish section) ask something is wrong help!!! And that is all. No more details. That is all!!!!!!!!!!!!! totally stupid

Maybe some people are only one Yahoo Q&A once in a great while and don't know these questions are " over used".

After all, this is a site for entertainment purposes only...so let people enjoy their selves.

OR they made a new account to ask questions and then have their old account answer and have the best answer so it gets 10 points?

I think they're all 13 year olds actually. Or younger. They're treating this like Facebook or Myspace.

i to get tired of the same questions ,i just skip over them and look for something better.
