I'm planning a short visit to Oceanside on Sunday (I'm coming in on Metrolink)
can anyone one tell more about this city, like any good restaurants near the train station (other then burger king in the station of course)
any thing to see around the city?
I will have about 2 hours to visit this city

Try riding the Sprinter light rail a few stops and perhaps have lunch in Vista! Get lots of pictures of the various bus & rail systems service the station. Good Luck!

Oceanside is a pretty nice place. I'd really recommend that you go to the harbor. You can watch all of the cool boats and can play volleyball on the sand. Joes Crab Shack and Red Lobster are good dinner places in the harbor. If you also want, walk down to the pier. They have a Ruby's Diner at the end of it and I bet you will have a good time there also. Have fun.

type in oceanside ca. pier youtube and click enter its a great link and will tell you and show you all you need to know for a 2 hour stay.. One of the longest piers in the state is only two short blocks from the station.
We used to live there 1 1/2 blocks to the beach. I relly miss it. Two hours isn't long enough to go inland. Our names along with some of our friends are professionally craved onto the pier.
