Is grayish/dark green bread mold dangerous to eat?
Right, so it was about 6:30am and I was hungry, so I pulled out a bread roll and began to munch. After I had gone back to sleep and woken up again, I notice that the roll next to it had one spot of dark grayish/ slightly dark greenish mold on it, about half the size of a dime. I then began to wonder if the roll I had eaten earlier in the morning had had some mold also.
Can anyone tell me if this is alright? I'm assuming since the other piece that was left only had the one spot that the other one either had very little as well or nothing- I have no way of knowing. I ate it at about 6:30am and it's 2:00pm now and everything's been fine so far, and I know that I had nothing on my stomach at the time when I ate the bread so it has to have been digested by now.
Anyway, what can you guys tell me?
edit: Ok, the spot on the roll I threw out was the same color as the spores on this: http://www.topnews.in/health/files/Bread-mold.jpg , but just one, smaller, and without the white ring.
Hope that helps make it more specific.

That type of mold is Pure natural Pennicillian and in that natural state with out prior knowledge of how much to take or ingest can be very harmful to your system and could lead to possible sever reactions.
Most likely the roll you ate only had the beginnings of the mold growth and from what my Dad who is an RN told me you should have no ill effects. Just be careful what you consume and make sure to check everything over if you have had it for a few days.

I wouldn't recommend eating it. If you can visibly see the mold then chances are the entire piece of bread is moldy but you just can't see it. I don't think anything is going to happen unless you keep eating that moldy bread.

You're not supposed to eat molded bread but people use it as a medicine sometimes so i guess its okay.
