Has any court in the US ever ruled against gay marriage legality?

I've heard of some cases where the courts ruled in favor of gay marriage being legal. But I would assume that since this is a major change from societal norms, this was considered big news and so got more coverage.

Has any court anywhere in the US, at any level, sided against gay marriage being legal?

If so, what was the reasoning given in the ruling?

So far all arguments I hear against gay marriage have been based on the Bible, which cannot be legally used by a judge to justify a ruling. So I'm wondering how else they can.

Does anyone know about any times when gay marriage came up in court where the court sided against gay marriage?

It wasn't actually in any laws, so there were few court cases unless people went to court. I believe Hawaii ruled against gay marriage in court.
