Should Terrorism be considered a Criminal rather than a Military matter?

Historically, warfare has been considered to be conflict between Nations, Tribes, or Peoples. Terrorism is none of those, it's a tactic, and it's one that has been used by all sides in conflicts throughout the ages. That being the case, would it not be more effective to combat it through international cooperation in the enforcement of established laws than by unilateral and often counter-productive military action?

Yes it should be considered a criminal matter and the military should only be used when there is a confirmed target, like a training camp, to be taken out. As it is now it will be an endless war since there will never be and end to terrorism.

Domestic terrorism should be handled internally by a court of law. International terrorists if caught by a police agency should be handled by a court of law in the country they perpetrated on. International terrorists caught by the military should be handled in a military court by the military force that caught them. The United Nations is an international agency that gets nothing done regarding terrorism, maybe you're in support of the Illuminati or some New World organization that would in my opinion be just as ineffective in obtaining justice for the victims of terrorism.

"Terrorism" is an act by an individual or group of individuals, acting without the express authority of one state, against the interests of another state, and as such is a matter for the criminal law, not for military action. If a state expressly declares war on another state, then the actions of its supporters, being state-approved, may be war crimes, but not terrorism

Well, Bill Clinton tried that approach back all through the 1990s. We had numerous terror attacks while he was president. The WTC was first bombed by Al Qaeda back in 1993, Al Qaeda went on to bomb the USS Cole in 2000 and two separate US Embassies during the 1990s. Clinton kept treating these as simple criminal acts instead of acts of war which they are. This allowed Al Qaeda to be fully functional on September 11,2001. Al Qaeda declared war on America, that is not a crime, its a act of war. How can you fight a war by treating it as a crime? Furthermore how on earth can any American law enforcement agency have the authority or capability to go after terrorists in Afghanistan or any other country? Do you honestly think that the New York City police department could have handled that after 911?

Any terrorist ought to be tried via the militia and subjected to the effects of the militia. In a criminal trial the criminal has greater rights than the human beings he killed, in a militia court docket the crime is greater substantial than who the criminal is or what he says he represents.
