How does Warhammer Online compare to WoW?
Right now, I've barely enough PC to run minesweeper, but I've played WoW in the past, will probably end up doing so again. Used to like the Warhammer setting with the RPG/Tabletop variety, though. Wasn't so keen on Games Workshop's decision to just start turning out figures for the sake of wringing every bit of cash out of it they could, which is mostly why I stopped playing many, many years ago. Of course, on an online game, this wouldn't be an issue.
So, if you've played both, what are the ups and downs of WO?
I suppose what I'm wondering about mainly is the background; heavily cribbed from Michael Moorcock though it is, I like the whole law/chaos thing. Is 'chaos warrior' a viable PC class? Are there Skaven anywhere? ;)

going to be hard, since I have been away from WO and WoW for a while now.I'll list the pros/cons the best that I can as well.
Warhammer Online: Pros
-Public Quests
-Leveling in Battlegrounds [unlike WoW that I can think of, because of twinking]
-Distinct class types and armor [unlike WoW with some of the raiding gear how some of the gear is shared between 2-3 classes] most classes play somewhat differently having only some skills or abilities shared between each other [exception of tactics and renown abilities, I think]
-You can even dye your armor to make it the color you want for a cost.
-Every class seems to have an advantage over another [Sorcerer/esses and Bright Wizards can hit major damage but get backlash and hurt themselves, White Lions and Squig Herders have pets [same kind of pet, but different types] and so on.
-Warhammer Online or Game Workshop's people are releasing Black Guard and Knights of The Blazing Sun[?] classes, and I believe from what I heard they're coming in an update and not an expansion for free.
-City Sieges
-Realm vs. Realm play [some areas can be controlled by either faction]
-Even in Open-Realm PvP Servers
-If you feel like a Scenario/Battleground, you can start up from level one and be buffed up to level 8 right when you join, and you can't idle either making you leave the spawning point. But the more you level the more skills you get [ex. level 6 your skills are buffed to level 8]
-No need to upgrade your skills for gold or a cost like in WoW, they upgrade with you as you level.
Warhammer Online: Cons
-Game just came out, and hasn't been built on and all like WoW has. there are some glitches and may not be balanced, but it is fun.
-Not very many professions, but that may change in the future. Don't put faith into those words though.
-Don't know how many instances there are in game, and the game I believe is PvP oriented. But I myself hope they add more, instances are pretty exciting, but are boring when you can't scrap up a group or find the right classes.

WoW is just better, it has alot more endgame content, which warhammer lacks, and there is alot more players.. I have been playing wow for 2 years and still have not become bored.. Though if you do get bored of wow, give WO a shot or AoC (age of conan) aoc is alot of fun if your a pvp person
