Why are we in illegal wars?
According to the United States Constitution, Congress has to declare war. This has yet to happen.
I voted third-party too Edward.
Skippy, when did Iraq attack us? And if you use that, then Bush should have sought an official declaration of war within sixty days.

The last war that had been declared was World War ll. Korea was listed as a police action, and Vietnam we were advisers, helping their government repel rebels. The many other skirmishes we were involved in were just practice. Every one of them has taken the lives of our young men.
The scary thing to me is the government, and media's miss-use of the word insurgents. It means against the established government. Iraq had a established government, and we went in and opposed them, and took over. We are the insurgents.

Skippy thinks you need to read the constitution again. The constitution does not say that all wars have to be approved by congress. In fact the Constitution itself gives the president the executive power to go to war without the congress approval.
"leaving to the Executive the power to repel sudden attacks" without the explicit approval of Congress" is straight from the constitution.
Did you really think you knew more than Constitutional scholars because you read some liberal blog?

To those who contend we are not in an illegal war, the United Nations considers it an illegal war. Besides, what did Iraq SPECIFICALLY do to us as a nation, or how did they SPECIFICALLY represent an imminent threat to the security of the Estados Unitos ?

Because Bush is a warmonger and demanded the power from Congress, and Congress was a bunch of weak-kneed wimps who gave up their power to Bush. It's a conspiracy of the Dumb and Dumber.

Because war mongering president found a loophole to this rule. They just happen to send troops over there, without congress declaring war. This has yet to be fixed.

Because Bush and Cheney created false evidence and lied to the world to get help to invade Iraq.

The President can involve us in an undeclared war. This is not the first example.

You can blame it on the 120+ million folks who voted for Obama's wars and McCain's wars. I did the right thing and voted for an anti-war 3rd party candidate.
