The property value in the projects and ghetto's are much lower than the property in rural neighborhoods so why?

Why don't the city board members and county officials give more funding to help fix these neighborhoods. I know that the DOT in my county is working on fixing a street that have been fixed once before not even 2 years ago. But in my neighborhood a mostly black and latino neighborhood we got roads that have pot holes and cracks all in them. When we called city hall about it they said that it was on there list but not top priority, but the other road in a rural neighborhood was. So if the city hall keep on complaining about the ghetto's and projects why don't they fix them up like they do the rural neighborhoods that's all I want to know.

I will tell you this much every time the City renovated the low income areas within a yr they looked as bad as before. It is not because of there race but more of the welfare mind. Another factor is those buying there own homes are most likely going to take care of there property.In so many words if you give some one some thing they are less likely to appreciate it as the value of working for it is gone. I'm much older than you i would guess and after seeing what i've told you happen every time renovating was done turn out to be a failure i learned.Just look at the apartments they show in Moscow russia the same thing.As for street repair that i have no reason to give other than the better neighborhoods pay higher taxes and are more demanding.

i would say because nobody wants to live there, whatever work is done it is probably the people around you- like here, nobody wants to live with the people in a council estate...so any propertys for sale there are so cheap
