do you have to hate someone in order to want to kill him/her?

I have heard some people have a fascination with death and killing. I don't think they hate their victims. Also in war combatants don't hate their enemies personally per say. They don't know them. All they know is that they are in a position where they are fight for their principles and ideologies. When confronted with life or death soldiers will kill. It's not personal.

secondly no, as seen on the news and so on, some people are just freaks who kill people for the sake of killing someone...they might not even know the person/people that they kill. it's a sad world :(

Nope. Remember crime of passion? Just jealous of what that person is doing (ie cheating on you) could make you kill them. But you don't hate them. That much.

nope. there are too many domestic cases where spouses go at each-others throats.

i also suppose if you want to put someone you loved out of there pain and suffering because you wouldn't want them to suffer.
