And if I feel that someones answer is better i do vote for it, but how can one really be unbiased

One really can't be unbiased. I vote for my answers when I think they are best.
If I were running for representative, senator, governor, or any other elected office, I would vote for myself, also.

No, it is not cheating. YA allows it and it is no different than voting for yourself if you run for office. But do it honestly, voting for a better answer if there is one. You can train yourself to be objective, with practice and determination.
