What can I substitute for caraway seed?

I'm not supposed to eat seeds (because of diverticulosis).I want to make a great recipe for Thanksgiving with bruseels sprouts and caraway. Is there any nonseed thing I can use instead of caraway?

    Instead of getting rid of them all together, make a tea with them and boil it down to add to any liquid called for in the recipe. The reason why you can;t have seeds is because of the seed itself, but the tea for flavor is perfectly safe.

    Try? Go to the health food store and get some caraway extract or anise extract? It is in a liquid but can be used for cooking too!

    Try artificial bacon bits; I hear they go well with sprouts.

    Or use real bacon if you want to splurge.
