ADHD and army can i still join?
can i be in the Army with ADHD? the air force recruiter just said it was near impossible for me to join the Air force but she recommended the army this is because i just started takin strattera which she said proves ive been recently diagnosed with ADHD im a seinor in high school about to graduate and i really want to be in the military

No you will not be allowed to join. Even if by chance they would issue you a waiver you have to be off your medication for at least a year.

The Air Force, Navy and Coast Guard won't take you. The Army and Marines can waiver anything. You'll just have to ask a recruiter.

If you still want to do something in support of the military you can volunteer for Navy Sea Cadets or Civil Air Patrol. You won't get paid, but they do a lot in support of military operations.

First.. proud of you for wanting to join.
Second, the army or marines will work you so hard that ADHD will be a thing of the past during boot camp.
Go for it and you'll soon be off the meds.
