when i put a disc in my drive, Windows media player says there isn't one in.?
It (my computer) wont read any disc i put in, the green light comes on but then nothing!.Basically if i buy a programme on disc i can't install it. Does it need major surgery, thanks .

try cleaning the lens with a cotton bud i had same problem

Are you using pirated disk programmes, if not then clean the disk see if that helps. Warm soapy water and dry with soft tissue.
