Trying to come up with ideas for Thanksgiving. I would like to try something besides the old stand by. ?

However I don't want anything complicated, with lots of ingredients, or time consuming. Any suggestions for sides, salads, etc.

we do butternut squash ravioli or pumpkin rav. If you can find them at your local Italian Market they are really easy to make and the sauce is just melted butter, sage and some parm cheese

Food Network has lots of great ideas.

My mom makes a great cranberry salad. Fresh cranberries diced, sugar, walnuts, orange zest, orange juice and voila!

    Creamed peas.

Roasted squash. Cut the squash pieces in half (butternut, acorn, mini pumpkins) and place in a roasting pan. Drizzle oil or butter, salt and pepper, and herbs. Roast in a 350 degree oven until tender. Really delicious.

Grilled corn on the cob with herb butter.
