Get the PokeFlute in Lavender town. Play it when your standing next to Snorlax then it will wake up and battle you you can catch it too!!!!!!!

Go into the Pokemon tower in Lavender town and get the Pokeflute from Mr. Fuji at the top floor. Walk next to the Snorlax go into your bag and hit "Use" on your Pokeflute in the Key Items Pocket. The giant Snorlax will wake up and apparently he's not a mourning person. So he'll battle you at lvl 30. Bring lots of Great Balls and try to catch the big lug.

you have to get the silph scope from the team rocket base in the casino place in celadon city and then go to lavender and go through the pokemon tower and get the poke flute and then go wake it up
