The Sheild Fans .. did you like the way the final episode was written and how it ended?
I am kinda torn I expected it to go out with more of a bang with Vic going out in a blaze of glory.
I also would have liked to have seen them break that kid serial killer and not leave it up in the air.

After having 24 hours to digest the final episode, and really contenplate it, I think it was perfect. Vic's life is totally messed up, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel; He will eventually be able to see his kids - even if he has to wait until they all turn 18 - and Vic is not in jail and he has a good job. It would have been totally absurd to expect a "happy ending" and it would have been depressing if vic ended up dead, or in jail. I think the negative consequences that were reached were logical, givin the amount of **** that the strike team has done over the years.
As far as Ronnie goes, Vic's biggest strategic blunder was trusting his *****-of-a-wife. What she did to him was worse than what Vic did to Ronnie. This is very sad but again, if Vic and Ronnie "lived happily ever after", it would be too unrealistic. I appreciate the writters attempting to show that there are real consequences to criminal actions.
As far as the serial killer kid, he basically admits that he is what he seems to be, so for me, that was enough closure. We can assume that he will be proven guilty, and will go to jail (or worse).
The only thing that I didn't like - and which totally shocked me - was what happend to the Vendrell family. Many Sheild episodes in the past have been totally depressing (like Lems death, etc.), but this was the worse thing that I have ever seen in the entire history of the show.
Basically, this episode was an excellent way to end the best season of one of the best T.V. dramas of all time. I never though that I would love a show as much as the Sopranos but I think I like the Sheild even more.
P.S: Just think: Everything that ended up destroying the Strike team started because of Shane's relationship to Mara - including Lem's death, and Ronnies arrest.

Hi,
I used to watch the Shield, but it was just so violent and graphic and I couldn't tell the good guys from the bad guys. So I stopped watching it. Is Vic the one with the bald head? Did he end up dying at the end?
