Question for Girls, How important are looks?

Honestly, in general if you are a nice guy you are attractive to whoever thinks you are nice. I'm still great friends with my ex and when I was going out with him I thought he was really cute. Not to be shallow, but if you just saw him walking and didn't know him, he's not exactly jaw dropping. But because he was so sweet, he was attractive to me.

So not very important. If you are sweet and charming, that's important.

Dude, if a girl is looking for a quick shag or a trophy to show off to their mates, then it's usually very important.

But if a girl wants a relationship then I think they prefer a man who is caring, funny, interesting to talk etc so looks aren't as important.

But it also depends on the woman.

I'm not the most striking guy in the room, but I know how to be charming and I'm quite clever. I find that these help.

But I stress that you must also know how to take care of yourself, so buy nice clothes and smell even better and that will help you too.

Above ALL ELSE, do not be a prick. Treat em mean, keep em keen is the Meat Head's mantra and you don't want to be a Meat Head. Be a Gentleman, which means listen to her, give her space if she needs it, comfort her if she's sad and most of all protect her...don't be a poem writing push over though.

Most of my friends are attractive women, and all have average looking guys for husband or boyfriends, including myself. I have often pondered the reason for this, and have come to the conclusion that good looking guys are usually a**holes. So while looks may be important in the teen and early twenty years, once a girl is ready to settle down all she cares about is how she is treated. No one has ever treated me as well as the boyfriend I have now, and I love him. He doesn't have a 6 pack or anything, but he is the greatest guy I have ever met. Hope that helps.

For me, it's not that important. I think that there is someone out there for everyone, and if you base that on looks, you're not going to get the person you're meant to be with, and looks kind of fade away the older you get anyway.

The cool thing...when you get to know someone and they have a good personality, they become a whole lot more attractive and turn out to be the most attractive guy out there. It's that way for me anyhow. More people would realize that if they were so shallow or cared so much about what other people think.

It all depends on the girl and any girl who doesn't talk to someone becuz of their looks is shallow and not worth talking to anyway. For example I'm in a relationship with this guy and he's just like drop dead gorgeous or the average pretty boy but he's attractive to me and when we're 2gether looks are so not important. Just the way he treats me is what's truly important.

Up until a female is 23 somewhat, depending on the clicques/friends she has, and whether (the potential) has teasing qualities. If he's "hot" then there is not/teasing.

When the woman is mature. She is seduced by what she hears, whereas a guy is seduced by what he see's. Remember Silverster Stallone? His inventual marriage to Briggette Nelson was based on a photo she sent him.

That is why some hot looking gals are with some jacked up looking guys!

for me i might think a guys really hot but

if he has bad hygiene and an ugly personality

it's a big turn off!

all the answers i saw u got sucks no offense but here is the right answer let say u want a girl 2 like u 100% the only thing she'll care about is 99% personality, how much u have in common, and if ur kind thats wat a girl would look 4 in a guy and only 1% looks. its wats in the inside not realy much the outside

well after u check da personality then u can get the looks so like personality is 95% outta 100% important a looks about 5% outta 100%

when you look at a guy? usually if it is a guy u don't talk to, looks give the first impression and get her interested, if u like, already have been talking to a girl && she likes ur personality then looks might not be as improtant, but i'd say looks r pretty important on the scale :)
