Does England Slaughter Horses?

Of course they do.

England isn't THAT different from America.

Horses who are injured, 'retired', or are unwanted (especially from the racing circuit more than as pets) end up being slaughted.

But there are several places across the country which take in these horses- the ones who aren't fatally injured or disabled, retired and unwanted- and I think most people with modern attitudes do take their horses there if they can.

HOWEVER, these places are few and far between.

(And if you mean for meat, not just because they're 'unuseable', of course horses in this country are killed for meat, for here and overseas.)

Horses AREN'T eaten in England,but old or dead horses go to the Knackers(to me made into glue etc). The French eat horses & in Texas(U.S) they people are mad for horse meat!

So horses in England are killed,due to being un wanted,or they are injured. They are not killed for human consumption however!
