If I put the wrong age on an IQ test (one year younger), how much does it affect my score?
I scored a 125, but I accidentally inputted my age as one year younger (14). Would that subtract from or add to it?

It's simple. Your IQ is simply your cognitive age divided by your real age times 100.
so if your score is 125, then your cognitive age is 125*14/100 or 17.5.
Therefore, your IQ at age 15 is 100*17.5/15 or (approximately) 117
This is a decent score, putting you above average (which is 100)
However, the accuracy depends on the quality of the test... If this was a 'free' ten-question quiz on myspace that sends results by text to your mobile phone, don't believe it for a second. Like the previous answerer, I agree that an online test is less accurate, but I do believe it is a decent measure of intelligence if it comes from a reputable source.

certain, there's a mild age aspect in determining your IQ. because you're youthful than what you said once you took it, it always skill your IQ is quite larger. 119 isn't undesirable in any respect, yet on line IQ tests are not too precise, both. it really is likely on the better aspect of what's considered popular. If it has the skill, you ought to envision your score again different peoples', even though it is not quite a large indication both, seeing as quite a lot everyone can get on the web and take it, and maximum in all probability it really is those who anticipate severe ratings that are looking for far of those tests.

Not much help as the exam you took was online. it is not accurate.
However, taken from a psychometrician, they can easily spot the difference as we do not count the age by year but by months and year.

unless it is administered by a professional human being in person, your results are meaningless.
