I read about the whole Wal-Mart ordeal, and to Juvanna Zukmakokoff, that topic can't just be overlooked. A human being is not a toy. It really does matter when someone gets killed, no matter what you think.
Anyway, I think that the hype of Black Friday used to be huge, with the stores breaking their profitability for the year. But with the economy now, there isn't a ton of people going out to buy stuff that isn't really needed. While I was shopping this morning for my boots, :) I looked over at the other consumers checking out, and even though the number of people didn't really vary from last year's, their shopping carts were just filled with a few items, the pajamas, the socks, etc.
Sorry this answer is super long. :) I'll get to your answer. I think that the cause of the Wal-Mart tragedy is the fact that people are in a panic to get the first deals. They know supplies are limited, and while one is greedy, they don't see or might not even care about the people they're hurting. It doesn't have to be greed with sales. This statement can be passed onto greed with material items, the greed with money.
Your added question- I don't think the stores are at fault with the madness; it's their holiday. Without the stores, there wouldn't be a Black Friday. It's important to them to get enough profit for the year to be able to survive this economic madness and be able to run and operate next year.

i've got in no way discovered any large deals that i can't get at yet all over back, yet I do many times flow. The strains are loopy long, and the shops are consistently packed, yet i think of it somewhat is exciting. I in no way decide for a particular merchandise (somewhat, I many times do no longer purchase lots in any respect that day, and could do my truthfully Christmas procuring a week or 2 later), and it somewhat is lots extra frustrating with a little one alongside for the journey. perhaps there is somebody you could leave her with for the morning, or a 2nd or third grownup to flow with you. i've got discovered that the revenues are many times extra efficient because it get's closer to Christmas. a minimum of, they are for the failings that i purchase. i do no longer purchase electronics very in many circumstances in any respect, so those revenues might nonetheless be ultimate on Black Friday. 2 years in the past on Black Friday, myself, my boyfriend, his sister, and her husband all went procuring, and he or she and that i've got been the two pregnant. i replaced into almost 8 months, and he or she replaced into approximately 2 days late. She were telling us for weeks that if she hadn't had the little one by skill of Thanksgiving, she might save the day-after till she replaced into in exertions, and he or she did!
