windows media player doesn't work?
I try to watch a video that is .avi and i only hear the sound but no video at all. Can someone please tell me what is wrong and should i uninstall then reinstall?

Try upgrading tto media player 11. You shouldn't need to uninstall, if necessary the new version install will take care of that.
FYI
the Are codecs and file formats the same? talks to you avi file playing issue.
