The Kodak appears to be an excellent selection
Of course the Pro's of the Kodak are it's higher MP
A big plus is being able to use AA batteries, they can be found anywhere, or rechargeable batters can be bought cheap.
The small size of the Kodak means you'll have the camera with you when you need it. The outstanding of the Kodak is it's price. I own a Kodak Z1275, a Canon Elph, and a Nikon 8800. Each has it's advantages. The bulk of the Nikon ,particularly with an additional flash makes everyone think I'll take the best picture. The Canon is the most basic, Takes great pictures, but I have almost as much tied up in the special battery as you plan on spending for the camera. I'd have to say the Canon is the most rugged, but you could break and replace the Kodak three times for what the Elf costs. I don't think you'll do much better between the three companies than with the CD93.

The only thing the Kodak has going for it is the fact it's cheap. As a camera it doesn't begin to compare to a Nikon or Canon.
