How much would a complete Lionel Train set 027 from 1955 be worth?

Do you have any information on this set? The set could be 100 - 1,000 dollars. Also, the condition:

Good: Scratches, small dents, dirty.

Very Good: Few Scratches, exceptionally clean, no dents or rust.

Excellent: Minute scrathes or nicks, no dents or rust

Mint: Brand new, absolutely unmarred with no visible signs of handling, in original box.

Greenburg's price guides have pricing information that would help you. A trip to your local hobby store or a local train show might also yield some answers. Since I don't know what you have, I can't help you.

It depends on many things. Is the set complete? Has the Lionel Train been abused. Does it need maintenance? Their are just to many unanswered questions.

The best thing to do is continue to do research by asking on some forums. Their are some good ones. Try doing a search for Model Train Forums.
