Gawd man. Why don't you tell her how you feel. Tell her you will be the guy to save her from further disappointment in life. Though, if she wants to be single right now, you have to respect that.. but I'm sure she won't think the same way for too long.

Next, if you do something totally thoughtful and out of the ordinary, like think of something precious (not from a movie !!) and do it. Ex. Bake her a cake and decorate it saying, "I won't ever hurt you.. one date?" or something of that nature. that's a little corny but you get the gist hopefully

just start being very nice to her (e.g. opening doors for her,,,girls love that stuff). start showing her what an awesome guy you are...then maybe she will change her mind. but don't be too obsessive and rush things...girls hate that.

i think you should start off as friends and work your way to a relationship. be patient. in time she'll consider dating you and that's when you should express your feelings. don't attack her right away and scare her off. so, just be patient and stay as friends for right now.
