my hair is blondish at the roots but my eyebrows are naturally very dark. have you ever lightened them? does it grow out? experiences? thanks

I actually have lightened my eyebrows, you do have to touch it up everyonce and a while because they do get darker again. Buy this stuff it's way cheaper than hair bleach and works really well http://www.sallyhansen.com/product.cfm?product=118
It will lighten your eyebrows by a couple of shades, because your eyebrows are thick don't worry they won't turn out invisible.

I frequently lighten my eyebrows. I have the same situation as you. I just bleach them a little bit! It does grow out eventually, so you must dye it about every 3 months. Make sure you follow the directions on the box, because otherwise, you eyebrows may get too bleached1

I accidentally lightened mine with hydrogen peroxide and a few weeks later they were back to normal

No I havent, I have dark blond hair and BLACK eyebrows, its no big deal.
