i want to put in push rods when i change over my heads just incase they bent but i have a question?

the truck is a 99 tahoe 350 the length of them is 7.187 could i put in a set of holley they are 8.040 in. High....is it going to make a difference or will it fit and be fine on a stock block and heads?

Update:

i dont really want to replace the heads do you think i could get away with just changing the springs rods and lifters?

    they are too high. you will have a chance of bending them or messing up the lifters.

    I don't think so ! You asking for almost 1" more lift, and that can't happen.

    I wouldn't. That is quite a bit longer.
