You're welcome Killer Peaches. I am glad to have helped you get into new bands. Hey, one phase that I am going through right now is a Post-Rock, Shoegaze, and Trip-Hop phase. Those are three excellent genres that I think you would like.
Try listening to Explosions In The Sky. Tell me what you think of them.
Thanks Mr. W and Stabbing The Drama. You two are too kind, lol.

I haven't heard all of them, but here we go:
Explosions in the Sky - Really good stuff. Not something I listen to all the time, but I have a couple records and I'm glad I do. Very good for a specific mood.
Alice In Chains - They were my favorite band for like 3 years when they first hit. My tastes have kind of shifted, but I still enjoy checking out some Facelift or Dirt every so often. Good stuff.
Meshuggah - have not heard them
Built to Spill - Top 5 favorite for me. I absolutely love them, and if you ever get the chance to catch them live, take it. They put on a really great show. Also, not sure if you're new to them (you mentioned since you got to R&P), but Doug Martsch has a solo record that I enjoy a lot too. Mostly acoustic, really interesting stuff.
Mr. Bungle - I had the first record and enjoyed it a lot. I lost it and got nostalgic from talking about Faith No More recently and picked up a couple tracks that I really remembered fondly (on a budget) and was really happy I did. Very cool, creative act. I love Quote Unquote.
Liquid Tension Experiment - haven't heard them, but they have a really interesting name.
APC - I've heard a couple tracks and they're ok. Not so much my thing, but I can appreciate where they are coming from. Good band for sure.
Orbital - I know I heard some of their stuff back in the day, but I can't really remember what was them and what was other stuff.
Massive Attack - Actually, you've just reminded me that I meant to get some Tricky a couple months ago and kind of put it on the back burner without thinking about it. I should do that. I have Mezzanine and Blue Lines and think they're good when I'm in the right mood. There is a perfect mood with me for that stuff, unfortunately it's just a lot rarer that I'm in it these days. Really good stuff though.
Saxon Shore - Haven't heard them.

Alice Cooper- No More Mr Nice Guy Bob Seger- Feel Like A Number

Explosions in the Sky
Saxon Shore
Built to Spill (these guys are great, I'm surprised they don't get mentioned very often here....dido for Saxon Shore too)
The Liquid Tension Experiment
Orbital
If I had to pick just one I'd go with Explosions in the Sky.
**Also I found a really great new post-rock band from Russia a few weeks ago...you might like them. I asked a question about them--they are called "Mooncake" :)
