What could my dream mean?

The interpretation of dreams has been a part of psychology before it was called psychology, and dreams do have meanings, though not every dream is hinged in reality, the symbolic meanings of things in dreams can help sort out some concerns of some individuals some times.

No it can't really be tested empirically but lots of things that are real can't be tested empirically. So who ever says dreams have no meaning haven't investigated it enough and should only speak of what they actually know about.

Recurring dreams are a sign that something in your life needs to change. once you figure out what needs to change the dreams will stop.

It appears that you are upset about something taking the dream at face value, but looking into the symbols can produce a different theory. This dream is not unusual and I don't think you have anything to worry about.

The tear represents emotion and it's coming from the right side. When something appears on the rigth side (in a dream) it's about the right hemisphere of the brain (in theory) The right hemisphere of your brain produces more of a creative way of thinking, uses emotions instead of logic, uses intuition instead of facts.

Now the dream is in black and white so this countradicts the right hemisphere of your brain. Black and White is about logic and facts so this is coming from the left side.

Playing the violin is an act of creativity that comes from the right side. It indicates sadness, but the weird grin indicates sarcasm. Have you ever seen someone pretend they are playing the violin when someone is telling a sad story, but no one seems to care? That is what I see here.

I believe the dream is telling you that you need balance in these two areas of your brain. There is an array of countradictions in this dream.

I also believe that you feel others don't care about you. For instance, your feelings or opinions don't matter to other people in your opinion.

Black And White
