Would you tell your family that your not in remission any more and that your white count has dropped?
I haven't been on chemo drugs because there isn't any more of them and I'm resistance to treatment and I really don't want them to worry about something they can't change.

I would tell them. That's a really heavy burden to carry on your own.

If you're close to your family, you should tell them. It's likely that they'll find out sooner or later, and most families don't like to feel left out. True, they can't do anything about it, but they can love and support you, and many people feel like that IS doing something. Pick a time and just tell them, then tell them you don't want them to worry. It will make you feel better and help prepare them if things should get bad. Secrets make you sick...
Good luck...

Yes- I would tell them for two reasons-
1. How each person reacts and learns from life is based experiences, if they are sad, worried, angry...that's for them to experience, work through and learn from- We can not protect others from this process and really does not benefit them at all.
2. You will find allot of needed support from your family and YOU will learn allot about, acceptance, forgiveness, love, sharing truths and what being a family means.
Good luck to you...

Hon, listen to me - tell them. My mother chose not to and it wasn't the right decision in the end for her to have made. Your family wants and needs to know so they can be there for you in every way..as much for themselves as for you.
Bless you and I'll lift a prayer for you.

Yes I would tell them. They are going to wonder why you didn't if they find out and feel hurt.
