Could this be an invite Mr Bayliss can't ignore !?
It was only a day ago or so - Mr Wiggysan and I made the assumption that we hadn't seen the last of Troy Bayliss -
What do we reckon to this latest 'GOAD' race fans ???
(That is of course should it ever happen !!)
http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/03122008/58/carter-r...
WWwwooooo HHhhoooo - BRING IT ON !!! - XxX -
Well I agree with everyone who says that neither of them NEED to do it - and there will be no gain to either rider -
But from a pure FUN aspect - and as Wiggysan quite rightly says, they are both good friends on and off the track -
It's not even about establishing who the better rider is - That has already been decided !!
I must point out though for the sake of Masha1 - Yes we are all well aware Troy SPANKED Rossi in 2006 - but that's not very good recognition for Mr Bayliss - since 11 other riders also SPANKED Mr Rossi - Given the amount of times they have both competed in the same race - and Troy to have only beaten Vale just the ONCE - I have no cause for concern (LOL) !!
The fact that both Troy and Vale have superb overtaking and manover skills -
my questioning would be who has the bigger balls when it comes to passing ?
I see the Fairys on a night out again !!!!
Oh I see that my Mr Nitwit has joined in then ! - Continuing on from Mr Proc's edit - could the same be said for Yamaha and the fact that Rossi IS this weekend Rallying ??? Perhaps there is some leaway within their contracts - I dunno LOL !
Forgot to mention earlier AUBURN - I know exactly what your Hubbie means -
I can't resist 'the fridge tempatations' either !!
FannyFart ?? - Thanks for the compliment - but it's all rather simple - my information comes from having an interest in the sport and motorcycles in general - Of course having that there 'tinternet is a big plus -
By reading the article alone - I couldn't gather either way if the race was just between just the two of them or not -
In any case it wouldn't make a difference - as far as I'm concerned the race would only ever be between Troy and Vale - a little traffic though can only add to the excitement -
Yes of course I'd be rootin for Rossi - he's better looking - you might not get the same answer if you were talkin Rossi n Sheene or Rossi n Haga !!
Which brings me to the point of '''FannyFart''' - A name not suited to such a great avartar !!
My **** - as great as it may be - ain't arf as clever as me brian - flattery WILL get you everywhere - but for a very SHORT time !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well they are good mates of the track, so I think anything to get them together would be good for a laugh !
It would have to be an unknown circuit and on 2 unknown bikes, say the GSX-R 1000 and say running Dunlops.
Who would win ? Well as you know I think Troy leaving MotoGP was a great loss to the title and his " one off " ride at VAL in 2006 proved that.
However, he a'int done bad back in WSB !!
However [ part II ] is ............. ROSSI .
He is the G.O.A.T, he can make a motorbike dance the tango. Also, he is getting faster every year, not just the bikes.
This would be a great race to watch, but do either of the rider " really " need to do it ? Even with Vale's taxes, he is still not short of a bob or two.

Think I might be wrong AGAIN. but although its a good money spinner. and would Create a lot of interest I cant see what Baylis would gain out of it. he has nothing to prove. I can only assume that its a ploy from yamaha to say the R1 is better. (I hope so as Ben will be riding it). I think the 1098 had the advantage over the R1. Haga and Corser tried hard enough last season. and Haga went over to Ducati.(he must think the Ducati is quicker.)
Back to the question. I doubt it will happen. Rossi tried his hardest to ride at Portimao and couldn't pull it off. so I think there is a lot of advertising going to come from this TALK. nothing else.
Though it would be great to see it
Edit.. There is food for thought there Albert.
Not beyonds the the realms of reality. though they do put a lot of restrictions in those contracts. And they do like their contracts to be signed, sealed and delivered.
I was surprised that Honda allowed Nicky to go and break his foot during the Holidays.

WOW - you are certainly something Girl Racer. How do you get all this information and from where ? Im absolutely taken in by you. It's not just your bottom anymore that I find so interesting.
Ive forgotten what my answer is now. Blimey no other women has ever done that.
Oh yes Troy Bayliss and Valentino Rossi. Do you think it would be just the two off them racing or would it be like in a proper WSB race meeting?
Never the less I think it would be just awsome and I gather you would be rooting for Rossi and not Troy then?

Bayliss has already spanked Rossi in Moto GP remember 2006 final Moto GP at Valencia on the last 990cc Moto GP race . Bayliss led from start to finish, yes Rossi lost it all that year.. but Bayliss and that 1098R was pretty impeccable this year and I'm sure we'd all like to see Rossi race in a bona-fide World Superbike Meeting we can only hope because I reckon Bayliss would dust off the leathers for that. Have to be at Phillip Island though . Anyway my prediction for 2009 are West for WSS Champ, and Haga for SuperBike on the 1098R followed by Biaggi on the Aprilia.
Source(s): 2008 what a year ..Bayliss and Pitt's repeat of 2001. Champions us Aussies eh??? Pity Stoner lost the Moto GP crown to Rossi....But Brendan Roberts took the SuperStock World Title. 3 Champion Aussies there y'all!!!! - 1 decade ago
Given today's news about Honda F1,I fear the sport may be on a slippery slope and moto g.p. as we know it is in fact coming to an end,Its already started in cricket, football becomes more and more dependant on european games; so what is stopping motor cycle racing going in a fashion unbeknown to enthusiasts.A series of "one off" events round the world,Riders even choosing their machines without being tied to factories, or at least being able to guest for who they choose.Laugh then but you heard it here first,in years to come you will perhaps say,"old Albert" was right.
Source(s): racing is racing is racing,But he who pays the minstral?? p.s.would contracted riders be allowed to amble round the "Isle of Man"? - Anonymous1 decade ago
Temptation is a terrible thing or so my hubby tells me everytime he sneaks a chocolate fairy cake from the fridge when I am not looking.

I don't know what the result would be, but I'd love to see it if it happens.
