Don I asked in Science & MathematicsZoology · 1 decade ago

would you believe if i say dinosaurs still exist?

believe it or not dinos still exist and they are called "modern day dinosaurs"

i still believe dinosaurs exist not here on land but the marine dinosaurs

reasons why i still believe that this dinos exist are:

1. we still haven't discovered the seas and oceans yet

and it is also said that we only had discovered about 10-20% of the sea

(reference is a documentary i saw)

2. we mostly discovered only the seas surface and 100ft. below (saw this one on a documentary)

3. there are some evidences.(there are some that are being caught like what i read on reader's digest it says" a sea monster or the dino has being caught by a fisherman and sold it to the restaurant")

Dinosaurs happen to have been terrestrial critters. None lived in the sea. This fact makes all your "points" irrelevant. Perhaps you should find out what dinosaurs actually were. It refers to a particular group of animals.

I believe it is possible that certain species never evolved in places where conditions never changed, such as the deep sea. However, there might be some changes so I doubt they would be called dinosaurs anymore.

On number 3 I think you might be referring to "the walking fish" a lobe finned fish thought extinct until (I believe) the 50s in Madagascar.

well, dinosaurs are reptiles n so they have to come up for breath. so possibilities are that they couldn't LIVE in deep parts of the ocean...which are the so called unexplored parts.......but they might migrate through there....but then they would have been spotted like the turtles.

but then, it is possible if would've evolved similar to whales, dolphins or seals and could also have evolved mechanisms to produce live young ones..........
