is it true that the ps3 60 gig which they don't make anymore(boguz playstation) can play ps2 games? and the 80 gig which is the only one their making anymore can't and can only play playstation one games?

the 60gb system is the only one that can play the most ps2 games
they're also making a 160gb ps3 lol. but yes the 80gb model can only play some of the playstation 1 games because with the economy, sony really has to lighten up on what they put in the ps3 or they'll risk losing more money

That' si correct. All PS3s can play about 80% of PS1 games. The 20 and 60 GB (non-PAL region) play near all PS2 games. The 60GB Pal and older 80GB model plays about 80% of PS2 games. No others play PS2 games.
Not that it's a bad deal. If they still did, they'd cost $100 more, and you can take that $100, add a little bit more on it, and buy a new PS2 if its that important to you.

The 60gb has the emotion engine which is basically the PS2 hardware. So the answer to your question is yes. I have had the 60 for almost two years and I haven't come across a game that doesn't play on it.

well 60gb playstation 3 can play playstations2 games i know because i have it and the 80 gb doesnt play neither playstation 2 nor ps1 games so
