How long will it take for my body to go back to normal after being on birth control?
I was on the birth control Loestrin 24 Fe for two months and I had terrible side effects that my doctor switch me to Yaz. I was on Yaz for about a week and had to stop it all together. I've been off it for about 3 days. I lost my appetite completely, I lost 8 pounds in one month, I was so emotional and still am, i feel like complete crap. And i have this weird fear of throwing up which doesn't help because i don't wanna eat and i need to for my body to get better, i'm always shakey.and im pretty sure im anemic. It sucks and im only 16. i dont wanna feel like this, its been going on too long. so if this happened to you, how long did it take for your body to bounce back?

I had all the same problems without the birth control.
I used to have an anxiety of throwing up, and that made me nervous and feel like I was going to throw up. Because of that I didn't stop eating. My doctor put me on different antacids, and i tried a bunch (tums, pepcid a/c, etc) which didn't work and I'd still throw up what I ate, or I wouldn't eat at all. I was that way for a year (off and on, depending on my stress level and what I was nervous about). Finally, my doctor suggested taking Prilosec OTC (over the counter heartburn medicine). I took that for the 2 week dose suggested and didn't have a problem for a year. Then, when it started again, I did the same thing. It's been 3 years now and it hasn't been a problem.
So basically, what I'm thinking is that your problems could be more related to your anxiety about the pills you were on than the pills themselves. I think you should hang out for a week, and maybe try taking some lower strength antacids like tums. If that doesn't help, then call up your doctor and talk to them or make an appointment. Tell them you're not sure if its the after-effects of the pills, the anxiety or both, and that if it is the anxiety, would it help to take prilosec? Your doctor should know what is best in your specific case. If they think its not a good idea, then do what they say.
Good luck, and take care of yourself!
PS--Often, its easier to keep down foods like white bread and pretzels. They may not be the most nutritious, but they'll give you some energy and make you feel less hungry, and they won't upset your stomach. Get a bag of pretzels and eat them slowly, it may help you feel better, albeit temporarily.
EDIT: I also agree with walking about the protein shakes/nutrition shakes. When I was recovering from my anxiety, my doctor told me to drink those meal supplement drinks to help me gain back the nutrients I'd lost. Examples would be those made by Carnation.

I can't tell you anything about birth control but the eating part is important. If you are not drinking you need to get some gatorade or something similar with electrolyte supplement. This can really mess you up emotionally and physically. You also might want to try protein shakes or bars, carnation breakfast drink,,, you have to get some food in you or symptoms will get worse, This is really important.
I clicked on the wrong question but what I am telling you is very very important
