huge home fuel costs ?

How many people out there are disgusted by the fuel tarrifs being levied by the power companies.

Surely it is time that the consumers voice is heard.

If you feel as strongly as me that something has to be done before thousands of pensioners and less fortunate people die due to lack of elementary heating please e-mail me . Depending upon the number of replies, I will initiate a petition.

That's what happens when you have socialist-leaning governments. High taxes and few personal freedoms. Sorry Britain. The U.S. government tried to pull off *hit like VAT's or "congestion charges". It would go over like a fart in church. I don't know why the British people tolerate it.

My parents have just installed a wood burner as they were running the centeral heating in the hole house just to warm the front room a little to make it more comfortable temp. They use wood from the garden which was burnt on the bonfire before so now they are making good use of it. So not only does this make it semi carbon netural it has already saved them over a third on there heating oil bill and as the last tank full cost £900 and they use 3 a year it will pay for itself in two years.

Of course, I agree with you it is unfair, it has to be an alternative way of saving energy as well as money so that heating should be as minimum as possible, i.e. using solar panels which is enviromentaly friendly to save energy and it is less cost.

well i feel your pain my good friend but it is not their fault

most power stations are been overworked the amount of power been demanded is more than the power stations can handle

The intiative by taxing your more you would find better means of cutting down the way you use electricity thereby been efficient and using energy efficient bulbs and so on

Economics are already in trouble. if we lower gas prices, then economics will be even more of a problem. gas is 1.79 where i live, and goes down a few cents everyday
