How did the 1918 Influenza Epidemic begin? ?
Can anyone tell me or give me a link about how the Influenza Epidemic (also known as the Spanish Influenza) began and where it started?

The Spanish was due to an avian influenza virus that developed the capability of infecting humans. It is believed to have killed millions of people all over the world. The virus originated from a wild bird but exactly which species and in what country it began (even though it is called Spanish flu) is not known. People fear that the present H5N1 avian influenza that is circulating in many countries will also develop the potential of infecting humans as the Spanish flu did and cause a pandemic.
