Can you use same guitar as the one you get in GH3 in a differnt guitar hero game?

I have guitar hero 3 legends of rock but i want to get a guitar hero another gmae like GH2 cd only will the gh3 guitar work on gh2 games?

    yes if you are using the same system as the controllers are for.

    ex; usb controller for xbox

    the guitar hero guitars are made to work for their predecessor games...so yes!
