i have had many wet phones.. take battery out now look at the sticker that is either square or circle. It should be white if it is dry. It will turn pink if wet. remove the battery immediately. Cutting power is a crucial step when attempting to save a wet cell phone. There are many circuits inside cell phones that can survive getting wet, but only if they are not attached to a power source.
if it came with a sim card remove that too. do not place the sim card in direct heat just towel dry that. allow the phone to dry. A great method in providing an optimum drying environment is to set the phone on the vent found on the back of a television set or cable box. The low heat emitted will gently dry your cell phone. Another trick to help speed drying is to place the phone in a bowl of dry rice. This will help draw out the moisture. You can also try placing the phone in a plastic baggie with a few silica packs that come in purchases such as shoes and electronics. Silica, like rice, absorbs moisture.
The important part of the drying process is to place the phone uncovered, in a warm, dry place and allow the moisture to evaporate completely. Another alternative is to place the phone on an air conditioner. The cold air will not damage the phone and the air from an air conditioner is very dry allowing the water to evaporate quickly.
the battery is not a biggie but you can buy a new but can be better to buy a new phone pending your phone plan because most do not have under warrenty water damage and can charge you full retail of another phone ( i been there and was using verizon which can be jerks). Dont try to heat the battery cause it can leak, melt, as well as explode. dont microwave or put it in the oven. Simply try placing it on a heater vent if it is from a duct in the floor or lie it on the ground in front of the vent if the duct is coming from the wall. Do not place it on a heater that is them big metal ones that are connected to ground that is as hot as touching a stove.
i dropped my phone at work in a bucket full of water and chlorine and thought i lost it but after i left, when store closed they dumped out bucket to find it and given it was in there for 9 hours but it was dead but just dry it out and put in it with rice do not remove any circuits just faceplates, battery, sim cards.
I also did this with another phone and it would not charge also and would not charge with a house charger but did with a car charger but was weird that it did not have to be plugged into car to charge but as long as car charger was plugged into phone it did charge.

i would hope you took them out asap....
and if you did, put both in bags of rice.
the rice will absorb some of the water.
i dropped my phone in the toilet twice and it still works.
and my ipod too...

Take the batteries out quickly at put it in the airing cupboard for 24 hours. Its the batteries that will kill it not the water.
