are people stupid or am i way off here?

Because they want personal recommendations. There might be a recipe on a site that says to use 1/4 cup of cloves, but someone on here would point out that that's way too much.

I ask questions -not here but on other sections- that I could probably get answers to on Google because people on Y!A like answering questions, and I'll get decent answers either way.

because some recipes are not on google. I have recipes that I use that are only in cookbooks. Or they are cookbooks that I have adjusted for better texture and taste, or I have come up with on my own.

GOOGLE IS NOT THE ANSWER TO EVERYTHING. No website is the answer to everything.

Some older recipes (from the 40's - 80's) are not on line.

When I ask for a recipe its only because I was unable to find the one thru my recipe searches that someone might have found. Sure we can look up our own recipes but its kinda fun" lest for me it is" to ask and see what people give you as a choice.

I think people are looking for tried and true - if someone else has made something they really like I would rather have their recipe then finding something on a google search that no one has ever tried.

I always wonder the same thing.. about tonnes of different questions people ask.. but maybe cuz..

1. Some internet recipes might be bad

2. Some people have great recipes which you wont find on the internet

3. People are lazy

People want to try recipes that others have already tried. That way they can share what was good or what needs to be changed. That's why I go to Allrecipe.com I read the review on the recipes I want to try.

i ask people on here because if they take the time to answer me, then they must really know a good recipe and what theyre talknig about. unlike google, which just looks for matching wwords

I think some sites get too in volved in a simple recipe

...because some of the recipes on the internet stink.

because we want to know what people have already googled and actually tried, and liked.
