How fast does ice thicken?
Given a constant temperature and climatological circumstance (ie. wind) how fast does ice form and thicken? And please, I do know that water freezes at 32* F.

there are way too many variables too answer this simply. Once ice is frozen over it doesn't matter about wind but snow can insulate the ice and keep it from freezing. Currents under rivers is also a main factor but if your talking about a lake or body of fresh water a week of constant cold temperatures with thicken it enough to walk on

Yes, I agree with Lee Lee, give it 2-3 days for the ice to harden or else you'll be skating on 'soft ice'.
