Connecting PS3 to Computer?
Hi, im trying to connect my PS3 to my computer. So far i have an HDMI cable going to my 24" samsung HD LCD, and picture comes in great. My computer has a built in Optical out connecter, so i figured for sound, id would just use an optical cable from my ps3 to my computer. But for some reason i cant get it to work. I cant find any options in my sound properties to set up my Optical port or anything. Can anyone shed light on this for me?

the optical sound for the PC and Platation are BOTH OUT PUTS - (+-+) this will not work you need (+ and - ) to get this to work.
in other words you PS3 takes out the sound, you need a soud receiver. the pc also Takes out the sound thrue this, (it does not receive it)
