Any of the expensive steakhouses in Boston are pretty much dressy.

Icarus, Aquitaine are fabulous. Hammersley's in the South End is good too and you can talk about Gordon's TV show Hell's Kitchen. Top of the Hub is fine and you can dance. All need reservations but so worth it. Have a great time.

P.S.Why on earth would anyone go to Bradford of all places when you can go first class in Boston? The answerer probably works there or has a vested interest. And don't get all over me - I've been to Bradford many, many times!

Boston can be overrated.

If money is not an object go 45 minutes north of boston. Its a nice fancy place in Bradford. The name of the place is Evenfall. They have a huge array of entrees, three different salads (amazing), and some out of this world calamari for seafood lovers. Talk to Spiro he is the own and could also suggest something for your special taste its a personal and classy place where a cocktail dress and suit are perfect!

Go to the Top of The Hub It is on the top of the prudentail center with a great view! Little bit pricey but worth it especially in the winter because of the beautiful lights. Enjoy!

and number 1 for dressy restaurants in boston is l'espalier and the new location is wonderful. absolutely gorgeous.

Try the Capital Grille on Newbury St.

those i prefer to propose: Mistrale - French Hamersley's - American Oceanaire - Seafood Morton's - Steak Davios - Italian look them up on the internet to verify the menu - i attempted to do a kind watching the kind of nutrients you like. i think of maximum of those have entrees under $50.
