Who likes YAZ? Only answer if you take YAZ?

I took Yaz for about 3 months...Worked fine for me...Regulated my period, cleared my skin, made me lose about 20lbs and I didn't have any side effects...But it effects different people differently...And I think it depends on when you take and if you started earlier or later in the month which week you wind up gettin your period on...And sometimes it takes different people's bodies longer to get use to it

I've taken Yaz, Yasmine and Ortho-Tri-Cyclen.

So far, I like Yaz the best. There is nothing wrong with when your period happens. It just takes a few days for your body to recognize that you are taking the sugar pills. My period actually starts on the Monday that the hormone pills start. It typically lasts 4-5 days, whereas off birth control it's 7 days for me. Yaz has lessened my cramps. I still get them, but they are much worse off of it.

The other one I liked was the Yasmine. (they aren't the same) It has 7 inactive pills. My period always started on the Thursday of the inactive pills, and ended either Monday or Tuesday of the new pack. It helped a little more with my cramps from what I remember, and it didn't make me gain weight.

The Ortho, however, did make me gain weight. I gained about 20lbs on in. The doctor didn't believe me, even though I rapidly lost the weight after getting off of it (I hadn't changed anything else in my life).

There are many other option for birth control. Let your doctor know what you like and don't like about Yaz, and they may be able to suggest one you would like better.

I take YAZ primarily for my cramps, and I think it works awesome! Before I started taking it I always had the worse cramps, like wake-you-up-in-the-middle-of-the-night kind. Now I hardly ever get cramps.

And it's supposed to end after you've started your next pack, like about halfway through the first line or something. That's why it says you're supposed to start taking a new pack either on the first day of your period or the first sunday AFTER your period has started.

In my opinion, YAZ is the best option out there, but you should talk to your ob gyn if you don't like it.

When i took Yaz it made me break out horribly. and I still had horrible cramps. I get the crippling cramps as my doctor puts it. but Ive tried three types of birth control pills so far, and still haven't found one i like. I am currently on Cryselle. It is a low dose of hormones so I have very little side effects. But you just have to ask your doctor you are looking into a different type of birth control and they will suggest some to you. you just have to try them until you find the one that fits you.

Your period does not start on day 1 of the placebos. It usually starts on day 3 or 4. This would be Friday or Saturday, if you start the pack on Sunday. If you want to change the day your period starts, start the next pack accordingly.

as for the peiriod mine only comes a day after but its fine with me not a big deal in my eyes.

love it! ive never had a problem out of it...my skin is flawless, period is regular, still skinny and have bigger boobs...moods are also LOTS better!
