Basic principle concerning making pictures of any animate being, whether it is a human or any animal, is that it is haraam, whether the pictures are three-dimensional or are drawn on paper, cloth or walls, etc., or are photographs (taken with a camera), because of the reports in the saheeh ahaadeeth which state that that is not allowed, and threaten the one who does that with a painful torment, and because they may lead to shirk in the form of standing respectfully before them, humbling oneself before them, drawing close to them and venerating them in a manner that is only befitting for Allaah.

Edit ... Yes ,we know that,you haven't animated any tiny bit of the Fish. You edited the background which is really wonderful , but the problem here is the Fish , which is a " animate being." , the basic principle is that pictures of the animate beings are Haraam as stated above.

As your occupation is concerned , we say you can carry on the same filed. but you have to avoid " animate beings " and keep it with in the pale of Islaam.

The view of Scholars is that you can edit,photography,draw, make animation etc... of " Inanimate beings ". because there is no evidence that these things are Haraam.

I'm no scholar but from what I know art is not haram. It is only forbidden if you draw humans or any living object. Because only Allah can create living things so on the day of judgement He will ask you to blow life into it. Graphics and art with inanimate objects is fine. After all, there is a hadith that says "Allah is beautiful and loves beauty" so creating beautiful art is not haram. You could also try calligraphy. Nobody will tell you that is haram. You're just writing things beautifully.

However u can draw the pictures of non-living thins or u can also draw the pictures of nature etc.In islam,making images of living creatures is prohibited.So if u want to continue u can but in halal way.

Salam. Yes making pictures of humans and animals who has souls and spirit are haram because you will be asked for giving souls and spirit on the day of judgement. It is better that your talent given by Allah is used not as Allah's competitor in Allah's creation,but make the beautiful of landscapes which have no soul and spirit. such as mountain with rice fields,flowers,rivers,forrest etc

Peace. have you ever tried your hand at islamic calligraphy. Its kind of a very elaborate art work. It englobes all sorts of techniques eg computer graphics, geometrical patterns, and all sorts. Its not advised to draw living creatures, as Allah will ask you to bring them to life on judgement day. Allah knows best. Art has a noble place in islam.

I think different people have different opinions about it, calling it Haram woud be a very strong word.You are simply improvising it and not spoiling it.You can go for advertising where you can advertise products and graphic organizers are in high demand.Since, you are good at improvising and recreating the originals.

no, i don't think it's haram

but if you enjoy these kind of stuff, you maybe you should also get into 3D.

there some good 3D pakages out there, such as Max, Maya, Zbrush and a few more.

but i recomend you start with autodesk 3Ds Max

it's kind of friendly and probebly even eaiser to use.

Zbrush is also easy to use, but it's only for modeling and textring, where as propgrams like Max and maya offer modeling, texturing, lighting, reiging, animation, morphing, rendering and etc.

lol @ your friends, are they in the position which qualifies them to give a fatwa? mashallah the images are so nice, well digitally produced pictures arent included in the Tahreem, it's just like a light emitted from your screen just like your image in the mirror, it's just a light, turn off your pc and the image will disappear,,
