what does it mean if i don't like people touching me.?

I've got the same condition. I've always been told I've been the coldest female that any of my boyfriends have ever had. I think guys get away with it or it's just accepted. I wasn't lacking for parents, they are still married and I was never verbally or mentally abused. Whenever my aunts would hug me as a kid I'd always do the one armed hug not to seem rude.

The only thing that I can think that it may be, is because the closer you allow yourself to be to someone, the greater your chances are of being hurt, or being hurt worse. It's a self protection mechanism for me. I call it my invisible shield.

The only problem with it is... that if you don't allow yourself to be emotionally close to another person, you are also foregoing the highs of a relationship when you feel most complete.

I really don't think that anything is wrong with you, I more think that you were just not ready yet to have sex and you really didn't want to. I think when you meet the girl that you are ready to have sex with then you will be more willing to be intimate, or maybe something sexually happened when you were younger even if you cannot remember anything happens that doesn't mean it is not possible sometimes that kind of stuff happens and this is what it does to you. I have seen it before with a family member who was possibly touched by a grandfather of theirs but doesn't remember but there is all the signs just like this one.

You don't have any problems. You just don't want people all up in your personal space. I mean its fine and all with your friends, but you get other people all like touch, touch. Hell that would put me in a don't touch me mood also
