When should one put air in their auto tires?

I know to put air when the tires is low but sometimes in the morning when it is cool my truck tire pressure light is on after driving about 8 miles the light goes off, it shows the tire pressure lets say 30 and after driving shows 32. Do i put air in cool weather or wait for the afternoon warmer weather?

Always check tire pressure with the tires COLD, never hot. If the recommended range is 28-32 psi (cold), they are good to go. When you have driven about ten miles, the pressure will increase 4-6 psi. That's OK-go by the recommended pressure on the side of the tire (cold-always).

Tires should be checked once per month, more often if driving in severe conditions.

It's normal for pressure to go up as the tires get hotter. (more below)

You should look at the side of the tire, there will be a "max pressure" number. You should never allow tire pressure to exceed that. Then look in your owner's manual and see what pressure the carmaker recommends.

If you've got aftermarket rims and tires, then you need to talk to the people who sold you the tires, but the typical tire shop is pretty dumb about that sort of thing. Just stay below the "max pressure" number on the tire, whatever you do.

(Why does pressure go up when the tire gets warm? That's what air does, as described by this law of physics: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ideal_gas_law )

The actual pressure is not as important as all 4 being the same.

You correct the tire pressure when cold, on all 4 tires at the same time. If any one tire changes pressure significantly during the day then that tire has fluid in it and should be broke down and cleaned out.

Air expands when its heated. When you drive your tires get hot and air pressure should increase. However you should check your pressure first thing in morning when car is not driven for a while. Pressure in morning is your cold tire pressure and that is what you need to go by. Increase air pressure after your drive is normal and nothing to panic about. 30+ psi for car is good enough for everyday driving.

The TPMS sensor gives a error code when your tire has about 20% less air pressure than what the minimum pressure sould be at. A simple fix would be to calibrate the air pressure at 35psi when the tires are cold ( in the morning or any time you have not driven it for a couple of hours). Good luck.

As you drive your car, the air pressure goes high and they want to add air when you are just starting to drive off. I check and add air to my tire anytime I need to especially when I feel that my steering wheel is wiggling. I Place the most is 32 psi for all the four tires in my car. So everytime I feel unusual on my steering wheel, I always check and balance the tire pressure.

There could be an countless distinction in tire pressures simply by outdoors temperatures. sorting out tire tension chilly, then try back after using whilst the tires have warmed up provides you with tension selection. If the warning gentle is going out whilst the tires heat up you'r stable to pass.

I have found this online store and decided to buy one there. Not quite impressive on their delivery speed however does save around 64% and satisfied to have this. The quality is truly superior and right until now not find any flaws.
