Who thinks it's sad that people here would rather ask a question than look it up for themselves?
Are we really this lazy to have access to the most powerful tool in the world (the internet) and yet people still ask silly questions like "How many Americans have died in Iraq?" and "What is the name of the song that goes Right now NaNaNa?" It frustrates me and I know I have a choice not to be here, but COME ON!!!!!!!!!!
I think I came off as rather rude. I don't mean questions like Where is the best place to get sushi in Seattle? or How should I tell my boss I quit? Just questions that are FACT based not opinion or experience based. Thanks for the answers tho.

I agree with Santas Vixen in that it is a good format to associate with others, however I see your point that many things can also be looked up before sitting at a screen and waiting for someone to answer. Relax a little...
BTW Right Now (NaNaNa) is the new Akon song- I found it on google :-)

Ha ha ha! I always think the same thing. Search it FIRST, then come here if you can't find an answer. I work retail and I think the same thing at work. People will walk all over the mall, and ask us, "Gosh. I've looked everywhere for days. Where can I buy a ......?" I always want to say "Do you live in a cave??? Google it. It will tell you where to buy it."
I'm 35 and had to grow up without the internet (gasp!), and I don't know how I survived. I had to actually look things up in the encyclopedia (those are books for those of you who don't know...). It's crazy to be so lazy that you can't even be bothered to google your own stuff.

I understand what you're saying but I don't share your frustration. At least not to the same level.
A question like your example concerning deaths in Iraq, yes, could easily be Googled. The one about the song, well, it would take a human touch to help figuring it out. I like the format here and I like that people can come together and share info with one another.

Who thinks it's sad that people here actually lose sleep over this?
If they didn't ask what would be the point of YAHOO Q/A. In case you did not realize it "Q" stands for question. YAHOO would have to close this site.

In my case, I prefer people to answer who have practical experience, rather then googled answers. You are here asking a question, isn't that also sad? You don't know what others reasons are for asking, so don't be so judgemental.

I have to agree with you on this one. The laziness of today's society never ceases to amaze me.
