Welcome to life (as we now know it) since the Patriot Act came into being. As Benjamin Franklin once said, "They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security deserve neither liberty nor security."

You've lost all your rights in California? Wow! Try to sneak out of the state. We've still got our rights here in Texas... and my friends in Alaska still have their rights. Let's see, I think Hawaii is still free. And my family in Oklahoma is still free.

Don't waste anytime. Escape while you still can to another state! And thanks for the update about California. I'll be sure and steer clear of there.

What are you referring to? There are dozens of exceptions to searches and seizures conducted without warrants. So what exactly are you talking about?

    Good news! You didn't!

I just ran and checked and the constitution is safe and sound.

    I bet you're relieved.
