Math Riddle: Dealing with oranges?

A stack of oranges forms a pyramid with a rectangular base measuring 5 x 8 oranges. Each orange above level 1 rests in a pocket formed by 4 oranges on the level below it. A single row of oranges completes the stack. How many oranges are in the stack?

    level 1 5 x 8 = 40

    level 2 4 x 7 = 28

    level 3 3 x 6 = 18

    level 4 2 x 5 = 10

    level 5 1 x 4 = 4

    Meh. This constantly works. In steps 3-5, ur multiplying your first 3 digits by utilising 20000 and including 250. In step 8, ur subtracting 250, so u can cancel those out. by utilising including ur final 4 digits two times, ur making it so as that its two times your telephone type. merely divide by utilising 2 and yeah, thats all I might desire to assert.
